During Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, The Army of Survivors is publishing a series of open letters to athlete survivors. This is the fourth letter in the series.
Dear Survivor,
I have had the opportunity and honor to represent a number of survivors of childhood sexual abuse. It is not uncommon for survivors to fear that no one will listen to their story or believe their story when they first come forward about their abuse.
However, I would like to reassure survivors that there are people and organizations like The Army of Survivors that will listen and that will believe you when you are prepared to share your story.
